If you use the no win no fee agreement to file your claim you should know that the cost is usually one third of the money that you are awarded.  Keep in mind that some awards are not meant to be paid all at once.  Clients can ask for the form of payment to reflect the form of payment requires for the settlement.  This will let you avoid paying legal fees before you are awarded any money so that is good news to clients. 

Before you sign on the dotted line for this contract, be sure you have shopped around and found an experienced firm. You might find that some of the more experienced attorneys might charge more per hour, but they will use less hours to get the work done.  You will also come across some lawyers who will help with some details.  They might take care of the document pick-up and delivery or they might offer some legal assistance during your case time. 

You can cut the amount of legal hours used by offering to help with the process. That way less hours are charged to your case and can save you money later.  It is very important that you, the client, be very honest when talking with your lawyer so that they can have a successful claim and so that you both benefit.
